Another Snippet from Our Life

|
My three year old is becoming facile with surfing the net to certain sites. He is, however, the only member of the family without a computer of his own. Well, I should say until tonight, apparently.

Galen: "Mama, don't deal with my 'puter. Don't deal with my 'puter, Mama."

Me: "It's not your computer. It's my computer."

Galen, with impish grin: "No, Mama, it's OUR 'puter."

Okay, enough with the sappy vignettes already. I promise.

Sort of.

Last week, my Mom told me that Galen, my two year old, placed the letters of the alphabet in the correct places on his magnetic puzzle. I didn't take her too seriously, chalking it up to grandmotherly enthusiasm. I assumed she had to direct him.

Today, Galen proved me wrong. I saw him placing the little disks in the correct spaces with my own eyes. Each letter and corresponding place is one of three or four colors. Galen noted the color, then proceeded through each line checking each place with the same color. If a place had the right color, but not the right letter, I am pretty certain he said, "Wrong!"

I realize this isn't especially interesting to others, but I wanted to record the moment.
